Celebrating IMELME UMANA, The First Black Female President Of The Harvard Law Review

Imelme Umana is  the first black female president of The Harvard Law Review!

Yay! I am so proud. I love to see African women doing good and breaking new ground. I also love shining light on all these amazing women so my daughter can look up to.

She is currently a doctorate candidate at Harvard, Umana’s rise to this prestigious position began when she first served as a chair on the Community Action Committee (CAC) – a body which helps Harvard students impact the political process by taking action in their community.

This brilliant scholar follows former president Barack Obama, who was the first black man elected as Harvard Law Review’s president in 1990.
